‘Samaan Aawaaj’ local coordination and interaction meetings and Community Score Card Practices in Lahan, Surunga and Triyuga Municipalities

The Samaan Aawaj team from DidiBahini conducted an 11-day field visit from 28 April to 8 May in Siraha, Saptari, and Triyuga Municipality, including travel days. The primary objective of the fieldwork was to introduce DidiBahini and the “Samaan Aawaj” to local leaders and stakeholders while sharing the project’s purpose, vision, and scope. The visit aimed to build meaningful relationships and strengthen networking with local leaders to support effective collaboration and future work within the municipalities. During the visit, Community Score Card (CSC) practices were also carried out in the rural municipalities of Siraha and Saptari to promote accountability, meaningful participation, and dialogue between rural women and local government representatives. The CSC process aimed to create transparent discussions around the current situation of women in the community and to identify ways to make women more visible, empowered, and actively engaged in leadership roles.

In addition to community activities, several team meetings were conducted throughout the fieldwork period to refresh the project concepts, reflect on ongoing field experiences, discuss challenges faced by the field team, and explore possible ways to strengthen and improve the implementation process.
